Andrei Aramnau leaves national team and returns to his first coach

An Olympic champion Andrei Aramnau has left the national team and is training in Barysau now. The reason for it was the absence of common understanding with the chief manager of the national team Alyaksandr Hancharou.
The Belarusian weight-lifter said it in an interview with ERB.

Andrei Aramnau: “I have left the team for some time. I think that my coach did not protect me the way he should have. How can I be near a person who, in my opinion, bears ill will to me? This person had to protect me in the first place but he was the first to insist on a severe punishment for me. That is why I should better be here than near him”.

In the sportsman’s opinion, weight-lifters are summoned too often. He does not want to burn daylight and would like to show good results at the world championship. That is why he will return to the capital three months before the championship.

The weight-lifter was surprised about the idea of his possible ban from participation in the competition and exclusion from the national team.

Andrei Aramnau: “How can they refuse from me if I am the strongest and the most titled acting sportsmen today?!”

Aramnau confessed that the training facilities were worse than in Minsk but he felt more comfortable there.

Andrei Aramnau: “The facilities in Barysau are not as good as in Minsk. However, the psychological atmosphere is better here, nothing oppresses me and I feel at home here. It is like a family, if you have problems, the whole family helps you overcome them. Nervous cells cannot regenerate. Why should I keep quarrelling with anybody? I feel okay here, there are no conflicts and nobody says anything bad about me. I do my favourite job calmly, nobody finds fault with me and I do not pick on anybody”.

According to the champion, his first coach Uladzimir Barzdakou and Mihail Saldar are helping him train. He says he has already recovered after vacations and will start a new Olympic cycle soon.
