Anatol Lyaukovich fined for 20 base amounts

The deputy head of the Belarusian Social Democratic party (Hramada) Anatol Lyaukovich has been fined for 20 base amounts (about 620 thousand BRB). The decision was taken by a judge from the Soviet District Court of Minsk today.
A lawyer Aleh Vouchak informed the European Radio for Belarus about it. Let us remind you that the politician was detained not far from the party’s office today. He was taken to the Savetski District Department of the Interior where a protocol about an administrative infringement was drawn up.

The politician was accused of having organized an unapproved manifestation on May 1. The policemen who were witnesses at the trial did not recognize Lyakovich. But this fact did not influence the court’s decision. Let us remind you that the opposition organized a meeting dated for Labour Day on May 1.

The action’s participants did not obey to Minsk City Executive Committee that had allowed them to gather at Kulman station and gathered near the Academy of Sciences and walked till Bangalor Square.
