Alyaksandr Lukashenka wants 2 more billion dollars from Russia – A.Kudrin

The Belarusian authorities are going to ask Russia for a 2 billion dollar credit. The money will be used for supporting the balance of payment and trade in Belarus. The vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Russia Alexei Kudrin, informed about it.

According to him, the Russian government will consider the possibility of allocation of a new credit to Belarus in 2008. Kudrin stressed that Putin and Lukashenka had made an agreement about it.

However, it is not clear in what form the credit will be given to Belarus, reports RIA “Novosti”.

Let us remind you that a Russia-Belarus agreement on allocation of a 1.5 billion dollar stabilizing credit to Belarus has been signed in Moscow today. The sum will be received by our country this year.
