Alex Hleb meets Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in Minsk

Alex Hleb on Thursday met in a Minsk hotel with FC Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The English Premier League outfit will tonight clash with BATE Barysau in the second match of the Europa League group stage. “It was great to see the Coach again!!! It feels as if I never left Arsenal," Hleb wrote in a comment under the selfie on Instagram.

Alexander Hleb played for Arsenal in 2005-2008 where he starred before agreeing to transfer to the then world's best club Barcelona. After the Catalan giants where he was mostly kept on the bench he played for average outfits in Germany, England, Russia and Turkey. For several Champions League seasons, he returned to BATE Barusay. This year, he wanted very much to join BATE and play against Arsenal as a farewell to his career but BATE said they did not need his services.
