Action of solidarity with political prisoners takes place in centre of Minsk
One more action of solidarity with political prisoners took place near the Church of St. Joseph at Liberty Square in Minsk yesterday. People gathered there in support of Belarusian political prisoners and families of missing opposition members.
About 25 or 30 youth activists took part in the action. They lit candles and set them up in the shape of a cross near the entrance to the church, said a prayer and sang the hymn “Powerful God”.
Then young people raised a transparent “Freedom to Zmitser Dashkevich” and portraits of political prisoners. People in plain clothes were watching them. They were also filming everything happening there.
However, there were no incidents during the action. Activists were allowed to finish the action, nobody was detained.
