The forthcoming military
maneuvers in Belarus
will involve 13,000 Belarusian and Russian troops, Interfax reported with
reference to a source in the Belarusian defense ministry. The large-scale exercise codenamed
Zakhad 2009 will involve ground troops, aircraft, surface-to-air missile and
radar forces.
