95 pedestrians detained over weekend for having no flickers

95 people were detained over the weekend for not using light-reflecting elements in dark hours, said Hanna Banadyk, the spokesperson for the Inteior's Traffic Police Inspectorate.
She also reminded that the traffic police launched yestraday an indefinite action titled "Become Visible in Darkness!", aimed at the prevention of accidents involving pedestrians in the night time.

The action aims to make pedestrians used to using flickers in the dark hours. Failure to use a flicker in the dark hours by pedestrians lead to a fine of Br15500 ($7).

If offense is committed under the influence of alcohol, the fine can be increased up to Br93,000, reports Belta.
