7 people remain in jail as suspects in the so called riot case (aka the White Legion case): Alyaksei Abramau, Andrei Dundukou, Ivan Kavalchuk, Andrei Komlik-Yamatin, Miraslau Lazouski, Victar Maroz and Dzmitry Novik. All of them were detained in March. They were charged with preparing for mass riots and forming an illegal armed group. 7 suspects were released in the past two days: Syarhei Strybulski, Alyaksandr Zimnitski, Uladzimir Fyodarau, Uladzimir Rumyantsau, Tsimur Pashkevich, Ales Yaudaha and Victar Danilau. The charges of preparing for mass riots were dropped.  All of them are not allowed to leave the country.

The release of the suspects may be ‘the first step towards closing this case’, rights defender Valyanstin Stefanovich told Radio Liberty.
