6 people are registered as Russian presidential candidates

The stage of choosing Russian presidential candidates is almost over. Six people are competing for the post of the leader of the state at the moment.
There are four candidates representing parties and two self-promoted candidates. The secretary of the Central Election Committee of Russia Nikolai Konkin has informed about it.

The candidates are representatives of “United Russia” – Dmitri Medvedev, Communist Party of Russian Federation – Gennadii Zyuganov, Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia – Vladimir Zhirinovskii and Union of Right Forces – Boris Nemtsov.

The self-promoted candidates are a former Prime Minister Mihail Kasiyanov and the leader of the Democratic Party of Russia Andrei Bogdanov.
