6 administrative reports drawn up against freelance journalists in Loyeu
Homel freelance journalist Kanstantsin Zhukouski and his colleague Alyaksei Atroshchanka have received six administrative reports by post. They were drawn up in Loyeu District Department of the Interior. Two reports were drawn up against Atroshchanka and four – against Zhukouski.
They have been accused of disobedience to the police and petty hooliganism. The reports will be considered in Loyeu District Court now. All the documents were signed on June 28 and the subpoenas were signed on June 27, Zhukouski told BelaPAN. The journalists received them on June 30. They mentioned the fact in the complaint sent to the head of Loyeu District Department of the Interior. Drawing up reports in the absence of the accused is a violation of the administrative proceedings. The reports must be cancelled now, the activists noted.
The freelance journalists were detained in Loyeu on June 21– they were making a video report about the difficult situation at the local cement plant. They were detained in a rude way – the cameras were snatched from their hands, Zhukouski was thrown down on eth floor and manacled. Policemen stepped on his head.
