50 graduates fail to reach assignment posts

Around 50 graduates of the Belarusian universities have not shown up at their mandatory assignment posts, said Belarus Education Minister Aliaksandr Radkou.

But, a majority of students understand the importance of the government's order and go where they are assigned to -- villages, schools and factories, he said.

Under the Belarus laws, young people that refuse from working at the mandatory assignment posts, must refund the money spent by the government for their studies. However, not all are paying, said the minister.
