30 thousand pilgrims take part in Budslau festival

About 30 thousand pilgrims from all over Belarus and from abroad gathered to worship the Budslau icon of Mother of God on July 1. The biggest group of pilgrims that arrived in Budslau (Myadzel District) from Vitsebsk diocese - 1500 people. According to BelaPAN, a group of bikers arrived from Poland to pray for Belarusian Poles.

Budslau festival continues today. Participants are going to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the coronation of the Budslau icon of Mother of God by Cardinal Kazimir Svyontak which was the recognition of its miracle-working qualities.

Let us remind you that Metropolitan of Minsk and Mahileu, Archbishop Tadeush Kondrusevich, has urged the participants of Budslau festival to pray for a visit of Benedict XVI to Belarus.
