$292mn to eliminate Chernobyl disaster affects

According to the programme of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl disaster, 625 billion roubles (about 292 million dollars) will be allocated for it in 2008. The Minister of Emergency Control Enver Baryeu informed about it at a meeting of the presidium of the Belarusian Council of Ministers.
According to the Minister, a big part of the sum will be used for the realization of the law on social protection of citizens.

The Minister drew attention to the active re-specialization of agricultural production and to scientific activities directed at renewal of contaminated territories.
