In Belarus in 2022, 2,366 children were left without parental care. Of these, 1,104 were placed under guardianship, 330 ended up in family-type orphanages, 329 - in foster families, 44 - in children's villages or towns, 27 - returned to their parents. Another 139 were adopted. Euroradio has obtained these statistics from reliable sources.

In total, 438 children were adopted in Belarus in 2022. This is 15% more than in 2021 (372 children, in 2020 there were 344). Last year, the authorities considered 16,848 children to be in a "socially dangerous situation".
