18:24 Moscow's poultry banned in Ukraine
Ulraine on Tuesday banned the imports of poultry from Russia's Moscow region, where bird flu cases have been confirmed.
Alexey Alekseenko, the spokesman for the Russian Veteranary Authority told reporters that the dangerous virus was detected in Taldom (110 km north off Moscow), Podolsk (43 km south off Moscow) and Naro-Fominsk (70 km south off Moscow).
The bird flu virus has not been detected in Ukraine, but the country's Ministry for Emergencies warned that outburst could be expected in late March during the migration of wild birds.
