18:00 Lukashenka reluctant to head "Great Russia" party

The president of Belarus, Aliaksandr Lukashenka, has no intention to head the Great Russia political party. Lukashenka made it clear, talking to journalists during his working tour in the Minsk district on March 28. Several media speculated yesterday that he was to lead the nationalist Great Russia party, being established in Russia. "This is not possible under the existing laws. In Russia, there is no legal framework that would allow a Belarusian to take part in the Russian politics. I understand everything and am not interested in these issues. My job is to lead my country... Perhaps, there are people there who are indeed looking for an alternative, but in this case it is not legitimate", the head of the state said.

Lukashenka also stressed that he never created ot headed any political party in Belarus.
