16:26 Vitsebsk Courier's fate unclear after May 1

VITSEBSK (by Jadviga Staseuskaja) -- The privatetly-sponsored newspaper Vitsebsk Courier has resumed operation after the local state-owned printing house last week refused to print the newspaper.
One issue of the newspaper was printed using office copiers, while the next two issues failed to come out.

On March 30, Uladzimir Bazan the chief editor of Vitsebsk Courier has a telephone conversation with the director of the regional printing house, who promised to sign a contract with the newspaper for the period of up to May 1.

According to Mr. Bazan, two delayed issues are to be printed today and delivered to subscribers. However, the newspaper's fate is unclear after May 1.
