13:04 Former MPs plan a rally in Minsk
The former members of the House of Representatives of Belarus, Valery Fralou and Siargej Skrabec are set to stage a rally and a concert in Minsk to celebrate the Day of Unification of the peoples of Russia and Belarus on April 2. The two politicians filed an application to the Minsk City Hall, requesting the city government to give a permission from a rally from the Palace of the Republic to the Gorky Park, where the concert is planned to take place.
«The aim of the action is very simple. We believe that the [trade] war waged by the government of Belarus has nothing to do with our peoples of Russia and Belarus," Siargej Skrabec said.
The organizers hope that they will be backed by "numerous veterans, the youth and politicians."
