12 computers confiscated in "Nasha Niva" office and PEN-center

The KGB representatives confiscated 12 computers, flash drives and CDs in the office of the "Nasha Niva" newspaper and the Belarusian PEN-center, which are located at one and the same premises.
They also confiscated the system unit from the NN editor-in-chief Andrej Skurko in his house. According to him, the newspaper's web-site will continue its work in full scope, in spite of the confiscation.

“The next printed issue of the newspaper "Nasha Niva" is planned on January 5. I hope we will find means to publish it”, -- stated Andrej Skurko in his conversation with Euroradio.

Let us remind you, the search in the PEN-center's office, where "Nasha Niva" rents premises, started on Tuesday night. There were two journalists at that moment, who refused to let the law-enforcement agents in without their bosses' permission. The KGB representatives managed to enter the office only when the newspaper's editor-in-chief and at the same time the PEN-center's Deputy Chair Andrej Skurko arrived. They drove Andrej Skurko to his house and searched it as well.

According to the warrant, the searches are connected with 2 criminal cases - mass disturbance and insult of state symbols.

Let us remind you, Euroradio's office was searched last Saturday. System units, dictophones, flash-drives and even notebooks and business cards holders were confiscated. Unlike PEN-center and Nasha Niva, no Euroradio's employee was in the office at the moment, and no one saw a correspondent warrant.
