Zmitser Dashkevich

The leader for the Young Front (Czech Republic) has become the first laureate of the Freedom Prize founded in 2012.

The political prisoner used to be told that he would stay there until mid-December 2011.

Civil activist from Baranavichy Angela Kambalava, who writes to many political prisoners, found this out.

"Young Front" leader Zmitser Dashkevich met with his father in the colony in Hlybokae for the first time since long ago. Zmitser said that he needed a surgery.

Famous Russian culture figures wrote a letter to the Belarusian police about Zmitser Dashkevich's destiny.

The political prisoner has written this in his letter.

He has written about it in a letter to his godmother Natallya Yasevich.

The letter was sent to the Minister of Internal Affairs, the General public prosecution, the President's Administration and Department on serving punishments.

On September 28, British Minister for Europe David Lidington made a statement on Belarusian political prisoners.
