Zhigulis, Opels and Volkswagens stolen most often in Minsk

Criminals steal Zhigulis, Volkswagens and Opels most often in the Belarusian capital. Minsk policemen have informed a news agency “Minsk-News” that they have received 105 applications about stolen VAZ cars (“Zhiguli”), 28 – about Volkswagens and 22 – Opels. Criminals also stole 21 BMW’s and 19 Audis.

The majority of thefts were registered in Frunzenski, Moscow and Central Districts. 90% of the stolen cars did not have any alarm systems installed.

On the whole, cars were hijacked 255 times and stolen 100 times this year. 296 of them have aleardy been found by the police and returned to their owners.
