The World Tourism Day is marked today. It was founded by the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in Manila in 1979. The World Tourism Day has been marked on September 27 every year since 1980. Cultural ties between many nations are getting stronger providing for understanding and learning of traditions and fundamentals of other peoples thanks to the development of tourism. Tourism is the most popular type of recreation.
