Viewers gain suit against organizer of Minsk concert of Cradle of Filth

The director of the company that invited the famous metal musicians will have to pay 100 million roubles! Minsk Lenin District Court has satisfied a collective appeal of fans of Cradle of Filth who did not manage to attend the concert.

Let us remind you that the heavy metal concert was supposed to take place in Minsk Ice Palace on April 20. However, it was cancelled for some reason. The organizer, the Neopolis company, refused to return money paid for tickets and people went to law.

“We did not only demand to compensate for the cost of tickets, - told one of the declarants, Victar Kavalchuk, to ERB. – The law allows us to demand several kinds of fines. We demanded them too. The court confirmed that we were right and decided to oblige Neopolis to compensate for our expenses”.

The organizer will have to pay about 50 million to the disillusioned fans of Cradle of Filth and the same sum for not returning the money voluntarily. The money will be paid to the state.

According to Victar Kavalchuk, about 300 people should receive the compensation.

“There were 127 declarants, if I am not mistaken. But the people bought tickets for friends and acquaintances. As a result, about 300 people should get the compensation”.

The organizer did not attend the trial. According to some sources, he is not even in Belarus. The people will have to wait for their compensation until the police find the organizer. They say that a criminal case has been started against the director of Neopolis.
