Ukraine: Parliament frees Yuliya Tymoshenko
Ukrainian MPs pass a resolution to release former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
UNIAN reports that 322 out of 331 registered deputies in the parliament voted to approve the resolution №4166 . The resolution was suggested by Arseniy Yatseniuk, leader of Fatherland faction in the parliament.
In October 2011, Yulia Tymoshenko was sentenced to seven years in prison for power abuse when signing a gas deal with Russia in 2009.
