Tennis: Aryna Sabalenka becomes World No 66

Aliaksandra Sasnovich has gone 3 positions down to No 56 (1052 points), while Aryna Sabalenka has improved from the 69th to the 66th position (943 points), according to the WTA rankings released today. Vera Lapko is one position up to No 134 (453 points) Former World No 1 Victoria Azarenka has slightly imrpoved her standing by one position to No 209 (270 points). Azarenka has pulled out of major tournaments since last summer due to a court battle with her ex-boyfriend and son's father over custody rights.

The leaders of the rankings are Romanian Simona Halep (6425 points), Denmarks's Caroline Wozniacki (6095) and Spaniard Garbiñe Muguruza (6050).
