Sweden wins 2013 ice hockey championship (video)
Sweden defeated Switzerland in the final match in Stockholm on Sunday — 5:1 (2:1, 0:0, 3:0).
Switzerland was the revelation of this world championship – the team won all the matches before the final and played aggressively and eagerly. They opened the score first in the match with Sweden but experience and luck helped Sweden to win and Switzerland won silver medals. Those were the first medals won by Switzerland in 60 years.
Sweden became the world champion for the 9th time.
Belarus was 14th. The world championship will be held in our country next year. Belarus will play in group B together with Finland, Russia, the USA, Switzerland, Germany, Latvia and Kazakhstan.
