Svetlana Alexievich elected Vice-President of PEN International

The Belarusian writer and Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich has been elected one of the five vice-presidents of the International PEN, according to the chairwoman of the Belarusian PEN-center Tatsiana Netbayeva.
Our compatriot was elected to a high position at the 85th Congress of International PEN Club held in Manila, Philippines.
Founded in 1921, PEN International is a human rights non-governmental organization uniting professional prose writers, poets, and journalists.
