Specialist: control over conducting of festivals should be less strict

Control over conducting festivals in Belarus should be less strict, considers the general manager of the concert agency UniArtPro Dzmitry Shapialevich, as informed by BelaPAN.

He informed during the press-conference on August 26 in Minsk, that the majority of time was usually spent on agreement of the event with all the interested authorities when organizing a festival, and an unreasonable quantity of time was spent on paperwork.

To the opinion of Shapialevich, the fee for obtaining a guest appearance certificate when a foreign performer is involved, is also unreasonably high. It is added to the earned income of these foreign performes, thus increasing the prices for tickets.

The Head of the administration of arts of the Minisry of Culture Mikhail Kazlovich stated, in his turn, that the festival movement was actively supported by the State.
