Solidarity hunger strike in support of Mikalai Autuhovich continues in Belarus
The solidarity hunger strike did not stop on May 15 when Malady Front members dropped out. The relay race has been continued by activists of a civil campaign “European Belarus”. Zmitser Barodka and Pavel Vinahradau have joined the strike today, on May 19.
The main idea of the hunger strike is solidarity with Vaukavysk entrepreneurs Mikalai Autuhovich, Yury Lyavonau and Uladzimir Asipenka.
According to Zmitser Barodka, the hunger strike will be supported both in the provinces and in Minsk:
Barodka: We will starve until our health condition allows it. There are people ready to replace us. So the hunger strike will continue. Our people will starve as long as Autohovich will.
