Rymasheuski calls to hault reconstruction of Boris and Gleb Church in Navahrudak
Presidential hopeful Vital Rymasheuski has issued a statement, calling to revise the decision on reconstruction of Boris and Gleb Church in Navahrudak and to restore the historical outlook of this 15th-century architectural heritage site.
Rymasheuski told Belapan news agency the reconstruction works that began last week had not been coordinated with the Ministry of Culture.
In his view, the reconstruction of the church harms both the architectural heritage of this country and the reputation of the Orthodox Church.
Rymasheuski is set to raise this issue during his campaign tour in Navahradak in late November.
