Russia forecasts Belarusian rouble's devaluation by 37%

The  analytical document, TUT.BY reports, says that the negative external borrowing conditions, as well as the peak levels of payments on external borrowings of Belarus, which account for 2014-2015, will affect this.

According to the Russian experts' calculations, the Belarusian rouble will devalue by 14% in 2013. The survey does not provide any concrete numeric data.

At the beginning of this year, one dollar was worth 8570 Belarusian roubles. According to the expectations of MED, it turns out that at the end of year 1 dollar should cost 9770 Belarusian roubles, by the end of 2014 - 13 380 roubles. Meanwhile, the average dollar exchange rate in 2014 in Belarus is expected to reach 9,500 Belarusian roubles, said Deputy Prime Minister Pyotr Prakapovich. The Belarusian budget in 2013 was calculated provided that the average dollar’s rate is Br 8950.

The authors of the prognosis believe that the devaluation will cause inflation, which will amount to 20-21% by the end of the year.
