Yarmoshyna: I won't create conditions for any "orange spring"
CEC Chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna participated in the on-line conference held by Narodnaya Gazeta.
One of the questions
concerned the OSCE's suggestions and notes on amendment of the electoral
legislation in Belarus. Yarmoshyna was asked to which suggestions she would
never agree and why.
"...What I really cannot agree with is that the elections results may
be appealed in court, - says Lidziya Yarmoshyna. A
court case is always connected with a state of uncertainty, which can last for
no one knows how long and will definitely lead to failure of stability.
Besides, the society needs stability after the elections more than ever.
Therefore, I will never create conditions for some "orange" spring,
autumn or winter".
