Vitsebsk inhabitant Syarhej Kavalenka detained again
He was delivered to the pre-trial detention center in Vitsebsk on December 22.
A criminal case has been started against him for avoidance of punishment in the form of limitation of freedom. This has been informed to the BelaPAN news agency by his wife Alena. The CCP BPF activist faces up to three years of imprisonment.
According to the wife, representatives of the department of corrections found 4 violations committed by Kavalenka. For instance, he was late home for 1 minute last August. On March 24 he was arrested with the flags, and then he was late home again as he was filing a complaint about the police's actions to the public prosecutor's office. On October 8 Kavalenka took his son to the hockey game and was detained again.
The police arrested Kavalenka at home on December 19. First they took him to the inspection of corrections, then - to the police department, and then to the pre-trial detention center.
