Victoria Azarenka earns No. 1 WTA Rankings (photo)
A new rating of the Women's Tennis Association has been published.
Victoria Azarenka occupies the first position with 8585 points after her emphatic victory at the Australian Open. Czech Petra Kvitova is in the second position with 7690 points. Russian Maria Sharapova is in the third place. Dane Caroline Wozniacki is No. 4.
There are two other Belarusians in the top-100 – Nastassya Yakimava (65th, down from 63rd two weeks ago) and Volha Havartsova (97th, up from 114th).
Azarenka is also the leader of the ATP Race followed by Sharapova and Clijsters.
