USA accuses Belarus of arms trade with Syria

The Belarusian company is accused of supplying the Assad regime with fuses for general purpose aerial bombs. The supplies were organised by Syria’s Army Supply Bureau, Russian Internet edition "Vzglyad" reports. By the way, the USA "blacklisted" the Belarusian company for arms supplies to Iran in 2004.

“Today’s actions seek to disrupt the flow of weapons and communications equipment to the Syrian regime and help prevent their use against the Syrian people,” said Treasury Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence David Cohen.

The Syrian conflict started in March 2011. The Syrian authorities have reported about 8 thousand victims. According to the UN, over 20 thousand people have already been killed there.
