Stalin's death mask sold for $ 6000
The first of the two Stalin's death masks which got to the West was sold at Sotheby's.
The name of the buyer is unknown, he bought the mask by phone, ВВС informs. The bronze copy of Stalin's face and hands was marked as lot No. 339. According to the representatives of the auction house Mullock's, this is just the second copy of the death mask, which got to the West.
All the other masks remain at the territory of the former USSR, for instance, in the Stalin's Museum in Gory.
