Punk band convicted in Spain for insult of King
It is stated the court verdict that the punk band insulted the state leader - King Juan Carlos.
Three musicians of the band Ardor de Estomago ("Heartburn") should pay
900 euros each, reports RBK. The youngsters called the Spanish monarch a
"son of a bitch" and a "bastard" in one of their songs at a
music festival.
However, the
National Court refused to demand compensation for the sum of 100 thousand euros
to the benefit of the monarch's family from the musicians.
Besides, the insulting
song appeared on the CD as well. The Spanish local authorities which held the
festival financed the CDs publication.
