Prakapovich visits museums together with businessmen after retirement

Euroradio's correspondent came to see the palace of the Sapehas in Ruzhany (Brest region) which is under restoration at the moment, and found out with a great surprise from the local employee that ex-head of the National Bank Pyotr Prakapovich had been there just half an hour before!

The museum is located in the restored corpus near the entrance

"Prakapovich was here today. You missed him by literally a half an hour. Prakapovich is our fellow country man, he was born in Pruzhany district. He was here together with Burnas - our famous entrepreneur, who renovated his native village Klyatnoye - there appeared a road around Belavezhskaya Pushcha there," - says the museum's employee and adds that the former head of the National Bank looks well.

Pyotr Prakapovich liked the model of the palace in the museum's exposition the best.

Mikalaj Burnas is an entrepreneur from St. Petersburg with Belarusian roots. He opened an agro-touristic complex "Belavezh-tour" - 8 houses for VIPs - this June. Anatol Yaromenka sang at the opening ceremony, and the governor (now - General-governor) of Brest region Kanstantsin Sumar held a speech. There was information in the media that Burnas invested 20 million dollars in this agro-touristic complex in his native village.

I don't know the aim of Pyotr Prakapovich's visit, — continues the museum's employee. — He planned to come when he was in power. Probably, he couldn't make it then so he came to his Homeland now".

Pyotr Prakapovich signs in the guest-book for VIPs

The ex-head of the National Bank left a big comment in the guest-book - it took a whole page. In the end there was an optimistic wish "I wish you success in this noble thing you are doing!"

Before leaving Ruzhany, Pyotr Prakapovich bought several magnets with the palace of the Sapehas and their coat-of-arms.

Besides, thanks to this sign we can compare Pyotr Prakapovich's autograph here and on the 100-thousand banknote. Absolute match!
