Political prisoner Syarhei Martsaleu wants to go abroad
Ex-head of Mikola Sttakevich's election team wants to undergo treatment abroad due to his chronic disease.
Syarhei Martsaleu: "I have written that my chronic disease requires a consultation and I need to have a rest abroad. I have chosen the period between April 1 and June 28. I would like to visit Poland, Ukraine and the Russian Federation."
It is difficult to receive adequate treatment of his disease in Belarus, the political prisoner said. Furthermore, his condition aggravated due to the arrest after the Square in 2010.
Martsaleu was put on probation for 2 years after the meeting of December 19, 2010. He was accused of the same case as Iryna Halip who has been allowed to meet her husband abroad recently. Martsaleu wants to check whether the Belarusian system treats all political prisoners equal.
