Political prisoner Syarhei Kavalenka stops hunger-strike
The CCP-BPF activist imprisoned in Mahilyou colony #9 is going to assert his rights in other ways.
According to the lawyer who has managed to visit Kavalenka, the political prisoner is quarantined now and feels “more or less okay”, informs BelaPAN.
Let us remind you that Syarhei Kavalenka was sentenced to 25 months of imprisonment for having violated “the home penal labour regime” he had been sentenced to for having hoisted a white-red-white flag on Vitebsk’s main New Year’s Tree. Kavalenka has been on hunger-strike with a few breaks since his arrest on December 19.
