"Headphone" Khamichenka disappears?

“When a person is released from places of imprisonment, they ask him where he is going to live and work. He chooses the place of residence by himself. The procedure is the same in all countries. He did not plan to stay at his place of residence. He joined the criminal community again”. This is how the head of civil security police service of the Slutsk city department of internal affairs Valery Kameneu says about "Headphone" Uladzimir Khamichenka, released by the presidential pardon on August 11.

Human rights defender Nasta Lojka has informed to Euroradio with a reference to Khamichenka's lawyer, that Uladzimir Khamichenka went to Slutsk from the colony. However, Valery Kameneu thinks that he is unlikely to appear in Slutsk: “There are many people who have nowhere to live in Belarus. Uladzimir Khamichenka has his own apartment, so, naturally, it would be appropriate to come back and start a new life there. However, as far as I understood, he did not want it”.

It is known that Uladzimir Khamichenka grew up in the orphanage. Among his relatives who are known there are aunt Ala Barysauna, who lives in Slutsk, and sister Svyatlana, who lives in Kopyl.

Khamichenka has not visited his aunt yet. On the whole, she hasn't seen him for more than three years apart from TV.

Ala Barysauna: “He visited me when he lived in his apartment in Slutsk. And then he stole my golden jewellery - I had a golden chain. I told him never to come to my place again, and so he did”.

Euroradio: Do you know that he was nicknamed "Headphone"?

Ala Barysauna: “No, I don't”.

Euroradio: He allegedly passed something to someone in the sleeve.

Ala Barysauna: “Yes, I heard something like this but I did not notice anything myself. I watched the video several times, but saw nothing of the kind. There wasn't anything. I only saw that he waved his hands there and then he was sitting at the table, being interrogated”.

According to Ala Barysauna, even if Uladzimir Khamichenka returned to Slutsk, he would not be able to live in his apartment. Besides, he is domiciled in Bahdanovich Street in Slutsk, not in Puparava stow, as it was previously informed by the newspaper “SB - Belarus Today”.

Ala Barysauna: “He is domiciled in Maxim Bahdanocivh Street. Everything is cut down there. The doors are nailed. There is nothing in the apartment! No water, no gas, no toilets, there's nothing but walls. This apartment belonged to him and his elder brother. The brother died so Uladzimir was left there alone”.

Khamichenka's aunt does not really believe that he is an agent and was performing a task in the Independence Square.

Ala Barysauna: “Frankly speaking, I cannot tell you anything about this. I did not contact him much, so I don't know him at all. Maybe this is a myth. He is not mentally healthy, so I don't think he was an agent or something. He just does what everyone else is doing. If they gave them food or drinks - he would definitely be there”.

Khamichenka's sister Svyatlana lives in Kopyl. As "Headphone" spoiled relations with his aunt, he might have appeared at his sister's.

Svyatlana: “When he wrote letters to me he always claimed he would come to my place after release”.

However, Uladzimir Khamichenka has not contacted his sister yet. Moreover, she found out about his release from... Euroradio's journalist!

Svyatlana: “What happened, did he escape?”

Euroradio: No, he was released. Don't you know?

Svyatlana: “No, I don't. He hasn't been here”.

Euroradio: Where can he be?

Svyatlana: “I have no idea. You see, he has no steady accommodation, he is like a homeless person. He spends some time here and there, as he wants to. He may come to me also, but how am I supposed to keep him here?..”
