EU to forbid import of Iranian oil
This is done with an aim to increase pressure on Teheran to make it give up the nuclear program.
It is expected that the prohibition will be officially announced at the summit of the EU's foreign ministers in the end of January. The USA which introduced new sanctions against Iran recently, approved this step, informs ВВС.
Iran is trying to lessen the sanctions by any means and refutes the West's statements about nuclear weapons' preparation point-blank.
