Doping disqualification in weightlifting
4 Belarusian weightlifters have been punished.
Three of them are medal winners of the European junior championship held in Israel last year.
18-year-old Darya Pachobut, 19-year-old Ivan Klim and 20-euar-old Volha Dryla and Viyaleta Syachko failed to pass the doping control in November, Pressball reports. Stanazol was found in the first three and drostanozol was found in Viyaleta’s test.
The International Weightlifting Federation has disqualified the Belarusian sportsmen for two years.
