Customs Union may switch to single currency in 10—12 years
Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Ryhor Marchanka has stated such an opinion.
According to him, there should be a
pan-national currency emitted by a pan-national bank. He mentioned the euro
zone as an example, BelaPAN reports.
Marchanka failed to
give a detailed response to the question on how the new currency may be called.
In his opinion, it can have any name "We will use what the politicians
will invent".
According to the Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, there
will be a single financial market in the Customs Union states by 2020, and the
exchange rate policy, the monetary policy and the supervisory policy should be
approximately the same by then.
