Byalyatski’s trial organized in his absence
Minsk City Court is considering Ales Byalyatski’s appeal. He was sentenced to 4.5 years of imprisonment.
Radio “Liberty” informs that lawyer Zmitser Layeuski has submitted a few petitions. In particular, he has asked to bring the political prisoner to court.But the judge has not granted the petition.
However, she has granted a number of other petitions. In particular, a money transfer receipt and documents proving that Byalyatski bought property have been added to the case papers.
Representatives of the Polish, Lithuanian and German Embassies are present at the hearing.
