Bananas and chewing gum confiscated from Japanese football players
The incident has occurred at the airport of Pyongyang – the capital of North Korea.
Airport employees confiscated bananas, chewing gum and instant noodles from the football players. The check-up of the Japanese team took more than four hours. According to “Pressball”, the Japanese team started their training session three hours later than it had been planned.
The Japan national football team will play in the DPRK for the first time since 1989. The selection match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup will be played today, on November 15.
