Ažubalis says that he does not stand against Belarusian opposition's plans
However, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister has a critical attitude to them.
Audronius Ažubalis has said this the day after publication of his interview, in which he suggested to create a center of force, alternative to the official Minsk. The Lithuanian official says that he did not stand against support of the Belarusian opposition, but only against its numerous plans, which do not bring any visible results so far, reports DELFI.
Today, the press-center of the Lithuanian MFA published an official statement. It says that Ažubalis' interview was "misinterpreted", informs ІА REGNUM. The phrase "I am tired of supporting the plans of the Belarusian opposition", according to the Lithuanian MFA, was not a quote from the interview, but a mistake in translation, made by the agency BNS.
