Ales Byalyatski’s wife not allowed to meet her husband

According to Valyantsin Stefanivich, the human rights activist’s colleague, meetings are rarely allowed during an investigation or before trails in Belarus. It is easier to get permission after the sentence has been pronounced by the court of the first instance, informs BelaPAN.

Let us remind you that the head of the human rights centre “Vyasna”, Ales Byalyatski, was detained and accused of major tax evasion. His trial will start on November 2 and the hearing will take place in the building of Minsk Moscow District Court.
