1.5-year-old child detained in Smalyavichy
A few women with children went to the main square of the city and started applauding.
The police detained one of the participant’s (Volha) 1.5-year-old child and took him away in an unknown direction. The child’s grandfather was also detained.
Euroradio contacted Volya a few hours later and she said that her son had been given back to her.
Volha Chaichyts: “I was allowed to enter the District Department of the Interior where the kid was sleeping in his grandfather’s arms. However, they did not release the granddad. They promised they would release my father three hours later but they have not allowed him to leave and I can hear him shouting now. I do not know what is going on there”, - said Volha.
