They didn't want to take part in the event where there will be President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich. Some of the Presidents do not hide that they decided not to go because of the situation with Julia Tymoshenko, who had been recently beaten in prison. Other state leaders referred to tense schedules and other businesses.

The web-site delfi.lv reminds that the 18th summit has been appointed on May 11-12. Only Presidents of Poland, Slovakia and Moldova agreed to participate in it.

Radio Liberty adds that Belarusian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka wasn't invited to the summit in Yalta.
